Descripción de la oferta:	International industrial manufacturer is currently looking for Global Commodity Buyer Steel for the automotive industry. Our client is a leading and diversified multinational and engaged in the design, manufacture, marketing and servicing of automotive, electrical and hydraulic systems and solutions for a variety of transport industries. Headquartered in the United States, the company sells its products to customers in more than 150 countries and employs approximately 80.000 employees all over the world. This is a newly created position within the organization and offers global corporate exposure and a career within a fast paced and dynamic environment. Functons: - Purchasing of Steel for several plants worldwide. - Selection of suppliers based on Steel Commodity Strategy that has been developed by a team with input from Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Tool Engineering and other disciplines as required. - Maintenance and improvement of relationships with suppliers and the business community through strict adherence with the principles found in the Code of Conduct of the company. - Utilization of negotiation and analytical skills to reduce overall costs. - Detection of new state-of-the-art processing methods and systems associated with parts and processing. - Monitoring regulations, laws and market conditions that might affect pricing and availability of commodities. - Assisting the Global Sourcing team in the co-ordination of the supplier selection process and advance quality planning. - Supporting and coordinating Lean Manufacturing & Operational Excellence initiatives with suppliers.

Requisitos

Estudios mínimos:	Licenciado
Experiencia mínima:	Al menos 3 años
Requisitos mínimos:	- Fluent English is strictly required. - Position requires Business or Engineering University degree - 3 - 5 years prior experience in purchasing metals (steel and/or aluminium)
Requisitos deseados:	- Experience negotiating with suppliers in emerging countries - Experience in industrial processes (stamping, extrusion and/or mechanization) positively evaluated - Must show strong leadership skills, be action oriented, and possess excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills - Availability to travel internationally (approximately 25%)
