Descripción de la oferta: We are looking a new member to assist customers in the Madrid Branch office ensuring their requirements and related workflow are fulfilled according to DAMCO Standards.

General Areas of Responsibility
 
- Be aware at all times of all rules and regulations pertaining to the documents that are being used in your department.
- Maintain and keep updated proper knowledge on all processes in the organisation in general and Order Handling in particular.
- Be familiar and kept updated on current Standard Operating Procedures (SOP¡¦s). Always use them for driving daily tasks.
- Actively work with your colleagues at Corporate and other Offices, in a business style and aiming to reach together Company¡¦s objectives.
- Constantly work to improve data quality to obtain zero defects.
- Achieve highest quality performance in Customer Service Delivery.
- Be prepared to change area of responsibility within your Department or Office according business and market needs.
- Assist Corporate departments in those tasks than might need local actions.
- Ensure alignment and optimisation of working procedures within APM Global Logistics Spain SL, based on DAMCO guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure approved working procedures are implemented in the organisation.

Specific Areas of Responsibility

- Carry out all Order Handling workflow which in the case of Madrid Branch are mostly import related tasks, such as:
Ensure Customers are informed in advance on cargo arrival
Ensure smooth release of cargo against proper documentation
Issue freight and charges invoices and ensure timely payment
Attend Customers on the phone. Actively use and promote Company products and services.
Ensure prompt cargo readiness in connection to vessel operating requirement, Intermodal requirements and, when/where needed, with other suppliers of DAMCO, including Inbound cargo Manifest and/or any official document requested by applicable Law.
- Inform Sales, Corporate Marketing and/or Management of all kind of interesting information obtained from customer contacts with regard to customer, cargo and competition activities and developments.
- Constantly improve the usage of existing local and mainframe Systems.
- Ensure all mandatory checking reports according to current SOP¡¦s are pulled and errors cleaned.
- Participate in ad hoc projects in the organisation in connection with Order Handling.
- Constantly look for improvements or changes that can improve data quality and/or productivity of staff. In this connection, suggest to your superior new SOPs and/or changes to current.


Requisitos

Estudios mínimos: Diplomado
Experiencia mínima: Al menos 1 año
Requisitos mínimos: Our ideal candidate would have:

- Strong customer service skills and excellent teamwork skills.
- Good communication skills, open personality, ability to handle swiftly all customer requirements.
- Preferably with experience within the shipping-forwarding sector
- Experienced PC-user (Excel, Outlook, Word,...)
- Good comand of Spanish and English.
