| Descripción de la oferta: | Our client, one of the ten major private oil and gas companies in the world, operating in more than 28 countries, leader in Spain and the largest private energy company in Latin America in terms of assets, needs to hire in Madrid: Carbonate Sedimentologist This job position is placed in Exploration Business Unit and Geological Disciplines Organizational Unit. Responsabilities: To assist Exploration Groups within the company in the identification, interpretation and evaluation of exploratory play concepts in carbonate rocks. To conduct and evaluate petrographical and other analytical techniques and to QC the analytical jobs conducted externally. To provide support in the prediction of porosity and permeability distribution through the evaluation of seismic attributes in carbonate rocks either for exploration or development projects. To liase with the industry, relevant contractors and academia on topics related to carbonates. To collaborate on the definition of the necessary in-house training programme related to the exploration of carbonate plays. Requirements: Geoscience degree at MSc or PhD level. More than 10 years of proven experience, having worked at least 3 of them with 3D seismic volumes interpreting accoustic properties of the rocks. Expertise in petrographical and petrophysical analysis of carbonate rocks, evaluating diagenesis and porosity formation/destruction in carbonate rocks. Highly proficient in integrating 3D seismic data with well data to characterize stratigraphic sequences, identifying facies and visualizing the sedimentary architecture in carbonates settings. Proficient in computer applications used for subsurface evaluation and seismic interpretation. Good personal skills and service oriented. Fluent English is a must. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. |
