Descripción de la oferta: Role Purpose: In this high profile, senior customer facing position, you will be responsible for communicating the value of Microsoft’s products to a small set of large customers within a vertical industry sector. You will discuss & gain commitment for Microsoft’s solutions with senior IT executives & thus meet our objectives for Customer satisfaction, deployment & revenue within the account. Working alongside a Business Manager you will be jointly responsible for meeting the revenue quota across customers in your territory.
Team/Department Mission: To contribute to Microsoft’s success by enabling our customers to achieve their business objectives through outstanding technical & business solution-focused “selling”.
Key Accountabilities: Developing relationships: You will be responsible for developing influential relationships with IT Directors / IT managers / CIO, senior architects & senior business sponsors. Technical leadership & resource orchestration: The account technical specialist works in tandem with the business manager, the business manager owns the commercial & business responsibilities for the account while the account technical specialist owns the technical engagement. You will be responsible for developing & executing a technical account plan that will show the products/technologies we will sell & the customer deploy & the tactics & strategies for promoting these technologies. This will be based on the business value these technologies will provide the customer. People Management: Participates in the interviewing/hiring process for employee candidates. Leads skills transfer to less experienced team members. Co-lead & delegate in an account team. Communication/ Business Relationships: Demonstrates very concise & effective communication with customers & Employees. Demonstrates listening skills resulting in customer satisfaction. Delivers highly articulate & effective strategic presentations to audiences of all sizes - including the largest & most technically & competitively challenging. Functional/ Technical Skills & Knowledge: Understanding of Business Decision Sales Cycles & the sales process – applies appropriately as it relates to delivering Microsoft solutions to customers. Understanding of Microsoft’s Technical Vision, how to solve business problems with working knowledge of the Microsoft .NET Systems Architecture, Desktop Environment & server solution Offerings. Presentations & Demonstrations: Delivers articulate, effective & audience appropriate presentations & demonstrations for Microsoft products/technologies, strategies & initiatives.
Key Success Criteria: Influence with senior customer IT executives. Understanding of the customers key business drivers, technology infrastructure & technical strategy. Deployment & sales of Microsoft products. Build solid working relationships with Account Team. Effective engagement of Specialist TSs on an opportunity basis. Successfully brief virtual team & skill others to present as appropriate. Customer satisfaction measured by outbound surveys & peer feedback.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 1) Essential Experience: Proven experience in the IT industry (could be vendor, customer or consultant). Customer facing experience gained within a major vendor, consultancy or systems integrator. Good business acumen ideally pre-sales experience. Planning & process skills. 2) Technical /Functional Skills: Breadth of technology knowledge.
